With journalist Janek Schmidt I was commissioned to discover hidden Ireland. A network of historic houses spread all over the country that offer B&B. The houses are very different, some offer activities like fishing and painting, some don´t. What unites them is the neccesity to earn money with tourism for maintainance and heating costs. Most impressed I was by David Corbett from Tyrella House who is running his estate basically by himself. In the evening he gave Polo lessons, in the morning he made fried eggs and bacon and in the meantime he had an eye on the cattle that is grazing on his lot.
